I met with a beautiful fun couple almost a year ago to join in on their journey to creating the most beautiful winter wedding ever.
I am actually a bit sad that their wedding has now passed as they were so delightful to work with.
I was able to be a designer and let my creativity flow as I was given free rain to create, just had to be within their color spectrum.
The Most Challenging and Fun Thing to construct and deconstruct was the most marvelous Chuppah.
We Made it with free standing Fresh Birch, which we harvested ourselves and built on site.
This made a Beautiful statement for the ceremony, synagogue and for all the photos.
It was the perfect back drop.
Many People do not know the Meaning and importance of a Chuppah in a Jewish Ceremony.
The Ceremony takes place under a wedding canopy on 4 posts, know as the Chuppah. In This Case We draped It with 2 family Tallits ( shawls) that were over 120 Years Old.
The Chuppah Symbolizes The home the bride and groom will create together in their married life.
The enclosures open walls signify that all will be welcome in their home and lives.
After the Ceremony had ended and pictures were completed we then deconstructed the Chuppah into two free standing pieces to be transported to the reception.
The Front Section was placed behind the sweet heart table to continue to adorn the newlyweds.
The Back Section was then carried into the reception to frame the cake table and completed the ensemble to the sweetest table of all.
It is always a wonderful feeling when the family comes up to you with tears of joy and say
- Bravo, you out did your self and it was more than they could have ever dreamed of--.
That just made my heart melt.
